While working on my latest mini truck project I kept having vac leaks mostly caused by different sized fittings on the truck.I found a workable solution with silicone tubing. At most places it is too expensive for my budget but then I found boostcontroller.com and bought 25' of 3mm and it works great. It is $.89 per foot and their service is very good.I ordered it Friday and it was here Monday.
I have no interest in this company and never heard of them til I went looking for a cheaper solution to my problem and just want to let everyone know about a good company with a good product.

    Nothing wrong with that price.
I usually buy the clear stuff off the rack labeled "automotive vacuum line" 1/8th, but you can work the connection ends all the way up to 1/4".
The trick is to use heat when installing. You could use your typical heat gun but I prefer a mico-torch.

The same thing guys would use to smoke their crack. Easy to find, but I prefer the ones that run on "lighters".
As in you actually put a lighter into the unit, and it's a little torch. Great for vacuum line work, as well as heat shrink.
In a pinch, you could solder, alumi-weld, and even heat soak a fastener.

No tool box should be without one...

OR, just find a great price for the good stuff...:p

You obviously have a lot more ambition than I do. This stuff stretches over anything on our trucks and you don't have to smoke nothing or piss Al Gore off buy burning some kind of gas. That might not mean much to you Cannukians but for those of us south of the good border our taxes are high enough and we don't need to poke the tiger.

Ha, ha, I say POKE THAT TIGER.

You know how some guys say that the guy that dies with the most toys...

I want to be the guy that dies with the Genus record for the largest carbon foot-print for a single individual.

    We call it Anti-green.

If a company wants to sell something now a days, they just have to label it,
    Organic,
    Low carbon-footprint manufacturing process,
    Eco-friendly,
    Humane slaughter,

"free ranging organic, antibiotic free, humanely processed..."food".

The biggest crock of sh!t since global warming, which is now...climate change, which happens all the time,...anyway.

Did you know, that the earth has only had polar ice caps for 20% for it's geological history?

We need a rant section on this forum... Don't EVER say Al Gore again...:pop:

I'm all in for the rant section. When I was a little kid up in the Colo.mountains we didn't have TV so we listened to a big old radio in the corner. After Amos & Andy there was always a preacher and I spent most of my life thinking Oral Roberts was the biggest phony in history, then along came Fat Albert Gore and his crock of crap , to take over top of the dung heap.

    Duo..you said it again...

MONEY, that's what it's about. In a socialist system, it's about power, control...direct control and no one is "free".
In the west, we mask control as freedom, being had by those with money, or those who have power, or power gotten through money...but no one is "free".
Some have more control or power than others, but no one has "freedom". (Reese not free to run her mouth; Cop, not free to punch her in her face...;) )

    It's like murder.
Murder is the killing of another without authority. Justification may give authority, so can control or power.
Bin Laden is the perfect example. Anyone could have killed him, and not only had the authority to do so, but would have been held up as a hero, by the "western authority". Not "murder".

Extream example maybe, just bored with people walking around regurgitating the status quo of a system that is so transparent, and the truth so obvious. It mocks free thinking people into lethargic catharsis.

Have a look at "Derren Brown" and the two part british tv special involving "Steven and zombies"...search it...
Physiological conformation masked as psychological "adjustment". Fracken scary stuff. Total control of the individual, and in the end, he was happy (he said, while over come by emotion) to be a "better person".

Lets break all the nonsense down to a "tv special".
What I'd like to see more that anything else, is these "girls of Atlanta" (or similar "waist of life" type filthy-rich, no brains woman) meet Derren Brown, in a post apocalyptic American mid west.
Yellow Stone has finally vented the mantel, and, wait for it....credit cards no longer produce Gucci bags by the dozen. Not sure how the sequenced dresses will play into the chicken-chase-kill-eat scene; but will be interesting to see an "extra" explain to the self described "sous chiefs" that Mc nuggets actually come from that little thing running around on the ground. "Careful, save the blood...It makes real good soup base..."

    Haaa, I can only wish...:p

I haven't turned the TV on for over a month, tired of having my intelligence insulted. Mark Twain is said to have made the statement"Those who don't read newspapers are uninformed while those who do read them are misinformed". Wonder what he would have thought about our modern media. Not much I'm thinking.

It's now just faster, and harsher, disinformation.

Case in point, Albert just labeled Alberta oil "DIRTY"...

The oil will still be sold. It will still be burned or formed in one way or another, but "some" of the money will now flow in a different direction then originally intended. Alberta may have to start an Industry Supported Environmental Program of some sort to use as misdirection, in times of need. The polar bear is pretty much over subscribed.
Maybe they can try to resurrect some kind of endangered grass or something.

Yea, I should just turn it off...but, it's like crack...I keep waiting for the next breaking news story...

    Right after this commercial break....

Don't know if it's true but years ago I heard that there was a field in Alberta where the product coming out of the ground was clear enough that they could run it through a filter and put it straight into a diesel tank and run with it,according to the story it was called Alberta Gold.
What "Albert" needs to call dirty is his own record of lies and deceit.

    True dat;

However, Albert's opinion carries real weight. That's what is both concerning and disturbing. His opinion can shift the flow of billions of dollars, if nothing else. BTW, who is currently paying for his opinion?

The fields in Alberta are currently producing the full spectrum as far as purity is concerned. The base really is bitumen oil though. For the laymen, forget what you think you know, it just comes down to viscosity. They may frack, they may sift, they may strain...but what is pumped and sold, as far as "quality" is concerned; is an unrefined oil (crude), dependent on H2O content. Rated by...viscosity.

"Dirty" is a concept put forth as a component of "production". High carbon foot-print due to shovels, trucks, sifters and "heat-purification" (steam). Low carbon-footprint, pumped out of the sea bed of the gulf. Energy of production, to the end-user equation concept. High carbon content by volume VS a lower carbon content for the same input production effort of...carbon. Black gold, none the less.
This is not the actual carbon content of the product, but a "concept" of carbon "Foot-Print" in the production there of. The actual quality of the oil...viscosity of the product...:sly:

An off-set carbon production foot-print concept was put forth years ago as a solution for the production effort required at the Alberta oil fields.
    A refinery in southern Alberta.
Not just a regular refinery, but a Can-Do-Mega-Refinery.
The shipping of bitumen across the globe associated carbon-footprint would be eliminated by the localized refining process. Fuel oil, Diesel, Jet-A, and Gasoline, would now only be shipped Nationally, in use for domestic needs.

A Socialist Concept, so said the Tories. "Alberta OIL must be sold on the open market; in keeping with the FREE TRADE values of Canadians".

    That was 10 years ago.
Current gasoline price today in Northern Alberta...$1.35 CAD/Litter; $5 bucks a gallon USD.
Current total Alberta oil production; 2 million barrels per day.
Current total Alberta oil reserves VS shipping capacity; 15% /day of production, to stock pile.
    Can't ship it.
Total projected production growth rate; 15% per year.

    Open market sales growth; pending.
    Product shipping expansion; unknown.

Current shipping vehicle; rail (since 1885)

If I may join this Rant session I would be pleased. Since the current topic is oil and transportation fuels, my biggest pet peave (and rant addition) is this farce called Ethanol. From what i read, and we must remember that it is also from the media and may not be verified, is it costs more to produce and is more harmful to the environment (if you subscribe to the Albert theory) than typical gas when you factor in the Diesel tractors and farm equipment used to produce it. And lest we forget, those tractors are not subject to the Low Sulfur Diesel requirements put on road vehicles. If you happen to own an older vehicle as I am sure most of us do, particularly an outboard then you know the problems it can create. So, exactly which corn farmers and their respective senators are benefiting from it? And don;t even get me started on gun control. Please..... Wow, I needed that. :)

Welcome to the rant.Just wait until the rest of the country decides to follow the fruits and nuts from California and institute the CARB regulations that they have used to destroy the construction industry here.It is so screwed up that some companies have just gone tits up while others have been given grants to re-power or replace their equipment.I know 3 guys with commercial boats that have gotten complete re-powers, including gen sets, while others have lost their rigs.Insane but Nanny Moonbeam is ramming his high speed rail to nowhere down our throats with the help of the idiot voters from the cities. The few of us that still pay taxes here are stuck with the bill.
Coming to a state near you soon.

Sounds like politics at it's best. It's great when you can sell someone else's soul for your own benefit huh? I personally would like to NOT be associated with the useless lazy scum that refuse to help themselves 8 years after the hurricane passed through. But those same people are the ones that have always benefited from what the government has given them, and now that they have learned to read enough to pull the handle in the voting booth, you know the one that says "pull this handle to be guaranteed more free phones and support for your illigimate kids", I believe we are in deep s..t. And I might add that those same people are the ones parking in the Handicap spot (and fire zones) even though there is an available non-handicap spot right next to it. Is it just here we have that problem?

Ok, Really time for a Rant. My Supreme Court and the Biased media have really sent this country into a spiral. The only thing they have done in my recent memory that resembles any measure of normalcy is their ruling in favor of the second amendment. (A couple years back, not the most recent push by stupid people who won't give up on trying to infringe on my gun rights). Thank the Almighty they did that cause it looks like we might need protection in the future and I am not really good at using a slingshot.
