Trailer Tiedowns - What do you use?

My 97 Minicab Mitzy is an awful lot of fun, but I had to borrow a neighbor's trailer to haul it home when I bought it. I've replaced my smaller utility trailer (Aluma 5410) with a wider and heavier Aluma 6310H (these are amazing trailers, nearly all aluminum, very light to haul and very durable).

Mitzy fits well on the new trailer (the upgrade was for width, not weight), I'm still sorting out tongue weight and whether to tow it backwards or forwards, trailer hitch and winch are tight around the rear ramp. Winch may move up on the hood a bit with future front bumper, and rear hitch (currently welded) may be changed to a 2" receiver to allow that ramp to more easily clear it.

I've towed various toys for years, but never regularly - figure with this one I should set up good tiedown points and good straps. I've read that strapping from the frame/compressing the suspension is not a good idea.

I see the following options -

    - Wheel straps and ratchets - Something like this, over each tire

    - Axle straps and ratchets - wrapped around axle and then down to the deck

My trailer has 4 heavy duty rings on the deck, and four stake pockets on the perimeter - I'm consider using the rings if I can get the straps close enough, or stake pocket adapters if needed.

Thoughts? Mitzy is about 1200# currently, I don't intend to add much weight to her, but I want tiedown to be quick and effective.

An update, I settled on a set of 4 wheel straps and ratchets from Amazon - link below. At $69 for the set of 4, they were a little more than the cost of 2 generic 2" straps from Tractor Supply, and they are very heavy duty. I haven't gotten it all tied down yet, but will update with pics when I do. One bonus, my Aluma trailer has a slot on the bottom side of each bed rail, allowing it to accept the flat hooks on these straps (could also bolt into this slot if wanted very easily). So now my straps can be positioned anywhere along the length of the trailer.

Wheel straps is what I use. Only 2 on front wheels. Never had a problem.
