I have a 1983 sanfu it has a 544cc and the coil went out and I couldnt find a orginal so i found a new motorcycle one and now it burns out a spark plug after a few minutes and it looses spark on one cylinder.so I changed the points and condenser and put e3 plugs and it still does whats wrong?
sounds like a problem with the air gap in the points,or possibly the 2 + sides of the coil are hooked up in reverse
