After a protracted battle with the DMV I finally got my Hijet registered and on the road. Started gathering parts for a tune up and when I popped the distributor cap off a bit of oil poured out. Is this just a seal (and if so any idea what one and where to get it) or do I need a new distributor (or have mine rebuilt)? Thanks all.
Just a seal below the base plate on the shaft. Pull it apart and you should be able to find a seal (O ring or square ring) that will fit at most any auto parts store.
Thanks! That is pretty much what I thought but since it didn't seem critical I didn't want to take it apart only to find that it was down for the count 'till I could source some oddball whatnot.
