Long story short the engine on my 94 S110P 5sp 4wd is fried. I have to replace it. It's currently a carbureted 660cc stock engine. I want to retain the 4wd capability. Do I have any options, since I have to purchase a new engine anyway, for upgrading? Or is my best bet just get a direct replacement? I don't want to do a whole bunch of fabricating, and I want to keep the bed intact. Either way, where is the best place to go to make that purchase? I am in Hawaii on Oahu. Any help is appreciated.
You could contact BeForward in Japan. I don't know if you have seen the engine with the bed off, but there are a lot of lines and hoses. I'd get the same engine type. They might be able to ship it on an actual ship, if air freight charges are extreme.
