Rear fender flare...more meat!

I have found a few examples online for rear fender flares, but these trucks have very little meat on the rear to attach flares to.
On top of that, the hinge is in the way, and a lot of what I have found online interferes with the side gate hinging down. So my solution was to add some more meat. I added a piece of 1 1/4" steel and bolted it to the fenders to add more surface to mount to.
    • A couple of relief cuts on the back of the flare to help with the contour
    • Tuck the top edge of the flare up under the skirt of the bed
    • Clamp it
    • Drill your holes and screw it in
Mounts like it was made for a mini truck.
