While roughing it through the woods today I must have knocked off the little rubber bumper that is to the left of the left rear light. Apparently it sticks into two holes in the body. I am hopeful that I can find it in the woods but in case I don't, are there any suggestions about where I might obtain a replacement? Thanks, Sam
Well this is probably a bit late now but anyway... I fitted fat offroader tyres on our Hijet. Not realising I dropped the sides down and didn't notice they were now resting on the tyres and not the little rubber bumpers. I drove off and only realised what was happening after finding the paint rubbed off the drop sides where they had been resting on the tyres. I went to a local store that specialises in rubber parts and stuff and found what looked like ideal replacements. When he told me they were $30... EACH!... well, I decided against it. Instead I found some jumbo size rubber door stops from a hardware place. About $4.50 each and they work really well. They're about 60mm in length, I just bolted them in place where the old ones were. I now have the two originals (my truck came with only two on it) and if anyone needs a replacement just message me and I can send them to you.
South Texas Mini Trucks have a bone yard for Daihatsu/Suzuki/Mits and Maz. I called for a drivers window the other day and he had one. He should have plenty of the rubber bumpers.
