I have a 03 suzuki carry and cant not find a way to check the oil in it. The seat has a lever in front of it and when I pull up on it the seat will not move.
    Any suggestions appreciated

IIRC, the Carry's engine is accessed via a bolted down panel in the bed. As for lifting the seat, check carefully at what latch you're pulling on. These trucks do have some fore/aft adjustment for the cushion. My truck (Daihatsu), has a catch latch that locks the seat bottom to the cab of the truck. When I unlatch mine, I have to pull the seatback forward, to clear the rear of the cab. Everything kind of folds up and the back moves upwards a little.

There is no plate in the bed. The motor is directly under the cab.

  4. The seat latches are probably under the carpet at the front of the seat. It should be held in place by velcro. I think there are 2 latches per seat.
