Damn, just disassembled the front struts only to find that I ordered the wrong part from the UK! :frustration: Turns out KYB 343294 are the totally wrong type for the front shocks. The piston shaft on the actual front shocks is at least 1/2"... The generic "KYB shock" picture on every site shows three types of shocks (see attached pic) ... I got the middle type, but I think I need the top or bottom type. Got a quote for the Genuine Subaru part - $350 / each. Oh well, the ones on there are good enough for now...
Platinum Shocks Those things are worth more than their weight in gold. I'm assuming they are wleded together with no chance of disassembly.
