Front driveshaft tunnel clearance

Discussion in 'Daihatsu Hi jet' started by Old Ironsights, Dec 21, 2015.

  1. SO... putting a new zero-mech stereo in my 94 S100P. I'm thinking about screwing a pair of box speakers onto the front driveshaft tunnel between the gearshift and firewall simply because I can actually do that - unlike modding the doors or anything else for speakers. (It was interesting enough to mod the original stereo bracket to accept the new stereo...)

Are there any clearance issues or anything I need to worry about when putting some metal screws onto that tunnel?

Climb under, and look at the tunnel from the bottom. There isn't much room down there. You might be able to get short screws work.
