I've been doing some researching on axle swaps and came across a very common trick that racers and off-roaders use to accommodate different wheel bolt patterns when they swap axles from different vehicles. Instead of purchasing expensive lug adapters they have the hub/axle flanges redrilled and studded for the pattern they desire at a machine shop.

good call! i've done that a lot myself. back when porsche wheels were the cool thing for VW's i used to redrill drums all the time from 4 on 100 to 5 on 100.

  3. I believe you can also do that on some wheels as well

I redrilled and re-studded my drums on my Hijet, was very easy. I didn't change the bolt pattern, just went to larger studs.
