Hi have no power going to my coil on Sambar 1995 4wd empi its the white black lead, is there any thing in the circuit which could cause this to fail, does it go through the main relay or empi unit, or is it a direct feed, tried the fuses ect but not sure about the cam sensor or ignitor power unit any help would be greatfully received many thanks
Looking on the wiring diagram it's fed through the main relay with a whole bunch of other stuff. If that relay was down you'd be losing power pretty much every where. The ECU is only doing control - no power. You probably need to trace coil power wire back through the harness and connectors to figure out where power is being lost. http://jdmfsm.info/Auto/Japan/Subaru/--Old Models--/Subaru Sambar KS-KV English Service Manual/12 - Wiring Diagrams.pdf
Excellent banzairx7 that was the problem relay was not working operated it with a match stick and bingo fired up straight away..... in your gratitude many thanks..... the relay is 25232 AA000, any idea where I can get a replacement or an alternative relay they are very scarce to get hold off over here. thanks
Is the relay switch side getting power and has a good ground? If either of those were bad you'd have the same problem. I'm pretty sure this is a drop in replacement, STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS RY-56 - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/STANDARD...993583?hash=item5226f64b2f:g:8MEAAOSwUqJdvU1g There maybe cheaper places to find it in the UK than this.
