I have upgraded my 91 DB51 with front and rear ends from a 95 DD Got it all Fabbed up and it works! But the right side half shaft keeps poping out. It did Not have a clip so I replaced it and it was tough to get in, but now has walked back out! Why? LOL any ideas please.
I am using the DD shafts DD pumpkin DD Hubs, shocks, brakes etc I had to reuse my DB tie rod ends but with the DD shafts For some reason it walks out?
It might be the lower arm/ball joints. Replace mine,there are different ones mine was FAR/FAL. They have slightly different shapes.
Overall the entire front end is now the DD Only thing that is from the DB is the Pitman arm and the rack For some reason the long shaft (right side) keeps walking out about 3/4"
I went back in and although still out I could not get it o come OUT! So weird or what? Also found that I had to heat and reshape My DB pitman arm to make it work The Pitman Lever itself fit fine just relocated where the arm lined up
