Hey I have had a Cushman Haulster for a while now and I have finished restoring it. Now I have no idea what to do with it next. I love driving it around to work, school, and ect. But I guess my problem is I don't know how could improve it anymore. I am not a big engine guy but I would like to improve the performance a bit. Everything on the engine is still stock so ya... Any idea, suggestions, or help would be appreciated.

    Thanks, David

Nice! Was it a meter reader or parking enforcement vehicle in another life?

Not sure what you can do for performance on it though...

When my engines petered out on the turf-trucksters, I contacted repower specialists and got a drop-in v-twin kit. it could almost pop wheelies and sounded like a harley. I achieved much higher rpm's and went much faster. It got a bit scary with only one wheel up front. it got speed wobbles like a shopping cart when it hit about 40mph and , i was afraid to turn it in fear of a tip over.

Hahaha! Thats awsome! Ya I have gotten to around 50 in mine and it is surprisingly stable (I am not doing to much turning once i get above 30 though for the fear of tipping it). But for the most part i don't get above 40. Probly should tinker with the govener? And then if you couldnt tell i am a skater for i went out and got a old snowboard rack and bolted it to my roof so i can hold all my boards up there. I was thinking i could mess with the exuast a bit but i dont know what to do!

Increasing intake and exhaust flow always helps. Hit up an exhaust shop and look for a K&N intake that you could fit in there.

    Cool Haulster

Fine-looking machine. I like that "starburst" photography.

Thank you. Ya I just got done replacing a rubber boot on it. It was a "T" looking boot coming from the carb. going to the engine and it had a hole in it where I could actually stick my finger in it. haha. I was stumped on what was wrong with it untill I saw it backfire. Now was that a surprise. haha. Scared the crap out of me.

    Is that a 4 stroke or a 2 stroke?

4 stroke. 3 speed plus reverse.
