I have a hijet standard cab 4x4 and a jumbo 2x4. i would like to somehow make it into a jumbo 4x4. whether take the four wheel drive out of the standard or if there is a way to possibly take the cab off the jumbo and put it on the chassis of the standard any way possible. both are in rough shape and will need considerable work but were both free. so just trying to see if there are any options. any help appreciated
I've done this several times on full size trucks and vans. As long as the frames are close enough to the same, installing the 4x4 stuff into the 2x4 is the way to go. Swapping bodies is NEVER as easy as it sounds. Good luck with your project! /Kris
Swap the 4x4 stuff and wacth out for the radiator mounts as the diff will go right in the way of were ther radiator wants to be .. they shift the radiator to the pass or right side by about 6 inches on 4wd models
