Just do some basic no-spark troubleshooting, you may have inadvertently made a short & blew a fuse that includes the ignition circuit. Fred
I know this is pretty old but I recently replaced my fuel pump with a 2 wire universal inline pump (delphi fd0038). first I wired white wire on the ground side. tried to start it and the fuel pump would kick on but no start. After some research, I pulled the white wire out and its started. Hope this helps.
