I recently bought a 1991 ( based off seatbelt tag, mfg. 10/1991). I was told there was a new carb put on by previous owner. No one could seem to get it running right. It starts hard and takes awhile to warm up to the point that it idles on its own. Once warmed up idles very smooth. Drives good, but very hesitant. Doesn't spit and sputter, more like there is trailer with 10,000 lbs behind it. It revs up fast and sounds good when in neutral. but falls on its face when driving. Have to be going down hill to even get in 4th gear on asphalt. Have to run all gears out hard to be able to shift. It does have one light on dash that as far as I can tell in my research is the engine temp gauge. I thought about remove the catylitic coverter and starting there. Any help/ suggestions/ ideas would be great. Thanks
