Yesterday they showed in the Japanese TV NHK a report about prices of Mini trucks over 25 years old, a series with George Tokoro. https://www.japan-zone.com/modern/tokoro_joji.shtml They showed 2 US citizens living in Japan, former English language teachers and now mini truck dealers, how they buy over 25 years old mini trucks and export them to the U.S. People here in Japan did not understand, but they showed the reason why the cars must be more than 25 years old. Then a TV team went to the US and they showed an owner of a Kei truck, so he invited the reporter for a drive, they went to buy a coffee at McDonalds and then went to a gas station and showed how lot's of people asked the owner what that truck is etc. He says he gets with the truck more attraction than with an Italian supercar. Then they went on to a meeting of mini truck owners, showing the special versions the owners built, dump truck, hunting truck etc. Then they showed a shop selling and repairing only mini trucks, do not know where in the U.S., but the shop had about 30 mini trucks on stock for sale. For a moment they also showed the 2 US dealers here in Japan checking the internet auctions for used trucks and then for a brief moment they showed one of these guys looking at the page of minitrucktalk and they showed the section " Mini Truck Spottings". Should keep my 1998 truck for some more years and then sell to the U.S., and get a new Acty truck. Edit, there is a thread about it already here, members of the forum https://minitrucktalk.com/threads/japanese-news-came-to-usa-to-cover-mini-trks.17360/#post-99374
