Oil recommendation threads tend to get a little crazy... ask 10 people, and you will get 15 different answers. To keep it real simple: Any 10w30, 10w40, or 15w40 of any brand that floats your boat. It takes about 3 quarts, and the oil filter is the same as a Subaru Justy. I personally use 15w40 Shell T4 along with Subaru OEM filters, which you can order from any local Subaru dealer, both of which have served me well.
