Are you using something 'special' to fab the corners and nice angles? I have the factory black plastic cover that uses those black push rivots. I hate them cause the are a pain to pop-up sometimes etc. Is there another option out there - something that has a push button that expands/retracts? Looks perfect ... meant to be there .... nice work.

Race cars and aircraft use quarter turn quick connects on body panels that work very well
Thanks all. A "D" sticker would be good. Where do you get them? Need the "Daihatsu Hijet" one that goes on the tailgate also...and two plastic caps that go in the center of the wheels. Bob
Best I've ever found... hey cd, look for "dzuz fastners" I used them in engineering and in the military and they work great as a captive quarter turn fastner. z
Bob, I may have a couple of these from my '94 660 S83P. Would they fit and would you like to have them?
Wow, I've been racking my brain lately, trying to figure out a cover for mine the swings down and then locks at the top. I like your idea with the 2 bolts. Great idea!!! Thanks!
This is exactly what I am trying to do this weekend, thanks for the pics. Now I have an idea of what to do.
Thanks zardoz, I forgot about "Dzus fasteners" I am going to make a battery box myself. I am planning to put another battery on the other side of my suzuki carry. Without "searching"; what have others done as far as two batteries? I am thinkin Marine battery switch. Right/Left/Both. Has anyone else done this and if so where do they put the battery switch? How do you like your tires when driving on pavment, I am looking for a wheel tire up-grade. I have 10" rims on my 93 LHD propane powered jumbo and can only do about 45 MPH.
They are not great tires on pavement. Pretty noisy and they wouldn't last many miles I don't think. Great for my use driving around the farm though. Next time I may try Maxxis Ceros.
