Ok so I figured out its electronic. My EPS light is on also. I have checked for power at the assist motor and than goodness I have it because I can't find a fuse or relay on the other end of the wires. Took the cover off of the sensor that senses when the wheel is turned. Removed the two star bolts and slid it out. At 1/8@ out I heard a spring "pop". Scared me but it was just centers in the groove and popped to the left position. It looked good but what do I know?? Sprayed it with wd40 and put it back. Cranked up and no eps light. Moved the wheel and woohoo! It works. Jumped in and went up the road - light back on and no power steering. Went thru this several times. It only will work for a turn or two then no. Guessing my sensor is bad since I can tap it with a hammer and it will work for a second or two. Trying to find a new sensor now. Not much luck. Sorry / all I know
