Can anyone explain how the power door locks are supposed to work on a '93? I noticed when I first got it that the front passenger door and rear hatch would not lock, neither by key nor by knob. Later, after I started using the driver's door key to lock the driver's door, I noticed that I could lock all the doors. I use the driver's door key to lock the driver's door and actuate the other three lock knobs on the inside first. I then can lock or unlock the hatch with the passenger door key. I noticed tonight when replacing the battery that all the doors emitted a clunking door lock sound as I connected the second terminal of the new battery, and some of the door lock knobs moved, too. What's the secret to this system?
Power door locks? high tech! Sorry I know nothing on those systems but usually the brains of the entire operation is the drivers door switch.
