Tonight went to work temp was -33c with a windchill of -44c (thats -27f & -47.2f for those of you in the usa) Pretty freakin cold - even for a canadian And still, truck ran great Lots of heat Probably the only thing better would be to have some kind of insulation in the cab But overall super impressive I thought I would have had to park the truck for the really cold months But no, its doing great!! Traction is even not too bad considering I DONT have 4 wheel drive I was told ---- oh you wont even be able to drive down the back lane with it -- Yah right !! This thing is just fine
That is cold. I think we saw -12F (-24C) yesterday but today we're in "positive" numbers. All the way up to 8F right now. And snowing. I think I'm going to need to get a new battery for my little truck. It only gets driven on weekend and the battery tends to wear down. I've got a solar charger on it so I may go give it a try this morning.
Here in Northern Maine, I park my HA4 for the winter. It only has a glorified lawn mower battery and will only turn over a couple of times before going flat. we are set to have our coldest weather of the season (-20 to -30F) this weekend. The truck is great in the fall until early Dec. Heater works great and no one runs their side by sides much after hunting season. they are out in the open and I am snug in the Honda!
Luckily for me I get to keep my truck in a nice warm garage MY battery can't handle anything past -20 either Maybe some day I can put in a real battery That seems to be the only issue though B4 I made more room in the garage... I just hooked up a trickle charger to the battery Then no probs
Mine put out so little heat you chose to keep the windshield defrosted or your feet warm. Can't drive it with my size 13 snowboots on! Just got it back had the heater & rad flushed, but it went from -25 to +6 in the last couple days.
MY TRUCK started today.. outside in the cold. NOT pluged in... i made a Video tape of it. but it did not turn out. it started up Fine! this is a video from 3 days ago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-98Wwmqwmg and i have to start it up in 30 min to drive my bro to work.... (last started 5 hrs ago... so it will be fine...)
i love girls with accents..lol except Russian or middle eastern accents.. its 55 F here in Southern California. but for some reason everyone still seems to run to their cars in the morning
Ontario not too cold here maybe -20 after seeing this thread went out to start the truck last night.....no concerns
-29 this morning..everything started ....wipers wouldnt budge till the cabs warmed up a bit tho...nothing holding them back but cold...sythetic grease is in order me thinks
Today it was finally above 0f... the coldest we had was -28f with a -50 windchill. BRR! I haven't had my truck not start yet though. He didn't WANT to a couple of times but he always did
I'll take this mississippi 100 degree heat and humidity in the summer time over those sub zero winter temps any day
