I spent most the day putting the truck back together and then it happened - We removed the windshield wiper arms and undid the nut that holds the thing that that wiper are is bolted to makes it go back and forth. So I reach in my with needle nose pliers and pull the thing up so I can assemble the wipers again and as I am running the nut to hold the wiper base in position I hear a clunk. Uh Oh, the wiper base on the left side slid down inside the dash and after 2 hours of going though every cus word I know I finally gave up. The dash is going to have to be removed - there is no way around it. How much hassel is it to remove the dash on a 6th generation Sambar TT2?
I haven't removed the Sambar dash, but I have many others. It can seem intimidating at first but it's actually not that challenging. One of the best tricks is to draw a silhouette of the dash on a piece of cardboard then push the fasteners through the cardboard in their relative positions as they come out. You can also number them as you go to remember the order of operations during reassembly.
I've not taken the dash out of mine (since I've heard it's a pain) but when I do I'll make sure to take advantage of it being out and tidy up wire routing etc, etc.
