What kind of tires are best? All I can find are trailer tires...

I have a set of 145R12 Y372's with only a couple thousand miles on them in my garage, however they have been long since discontinued. I think the ones I have are 2016 mfr date. They road rough and had no traction in slippery conditions. even 4x4 was almost useless.

I had a Suzuki Carry and what I did on that was grab some universal dual bolt pattern rims with an offset that worked on the Carry and mounted some 155/65R14 Nokian snow tires which are almost exactly the same height as 145R12. Great in snow, great all around, rode great.
