    ideal on new project

 so like always i am bored at work trying to kill time and came across something that might not be a bad ideal to put on mazie some time. (or at least on the big truck) its a 12v air compressor with a small tank (link) http://www.jegs.com/i/Wolo/425/800/10002/-1 hope that works but it is on jegs site cheapest so far for it i found. it is list as Wolo 800 - WOLO Tiger Air Tank & Compressor 2.5 liter air tank and holds up to 110 psi has auto on and off which might not be good on the mini 12v supply but it could always be hook through a switch easily. As for where to mount i was thinking right where the spare tire goes beings i dont use it for anything else and it wight just fit perfect till i thought compressed air setting on gas tank  prolly not the best please to put it. any input on that guys and gals. spaner or fuba feel free. but if the tank doesnt leak and u dont bash something on the gas tank or the air tank/ compressor it should not really matter right??? thanks for the input. at the very least ill prolly get one for the big truck. working as a valet person people have flats all the time and and the one here at work is junk. plus if i ever have a flat or need to help someone alone side the road ill be set and ready. ok thats all for now thanks folks. :pop::pop::pop::pop: (some popcorn for the read)

That compressor is sweet..nice and small..I wouldn't have a problem mounting it near the tank but the pump might not like the exposure under there..you could easily enclose it with venting for cooling the pump...that would be cool mounted inside a rear bumper...it's small enough...all hidden away until you need it..you could even store the hose and fittings inside a bumper :)

thats kinda y i picked that spot if it would fit but its made to trucks so it should not need covers BUT when off roading it sure would help im thinking pelican box would be a good start with a few vent holes maybe idk yet just an ideal

Bought home a 20 foot long 22" culvert for a new road we're building.

Finally found a good "old steel" set of log lifting tongs (very old and hand forged)

And I am really loving my new 3/4" maple deck I added on top of the 5/8" pressure treated ply.

It's been soooo dry here (less than .5" of rain for the month) that I finally cleaned up the 250gal water tote I bought off of Craigslist a couple of years ago and got the orchard and pumpkin patch watered.

i got around to getting the pelican boxes mounted i need a few more things for it to be done done but they are on the truck ill post pics later i need a few more self taping screws and another 1/4 lock pin like what u use on a trailer safety lock. messed around with the air compressor and tank a lil. no its not mounted yet just checking fitment. ill have to have a lil help makes a mount for it and a dirt shield. prolly use diamond plate or something like that. but heres a ? for u all if i get into water to deep and covers the compressor then its the same as done right??? i know if its off it should not suck water but still not a good ideal to mount anywhere that could be underwater if my thinking is right.

nice water tank how much back end drop do u have and do you fill it full with 250 gal.? if so you so should take a pic next time.

I haven't filled it more than half way mostly out of concern for my pump and well. Still, the approx 900lbs with it a little less than half filled didn't seem to phase it at all.

thats sweet i had to 55 gal drums 95% full in the bed once just for fun so its a lil less than what u had but its a good easy test for if it will hold the big quads weight of 750 pounds or so might be closer to 800 with all of its stuff. but i bet its a great way to water the pumpkin patch

Right now I'm using it to fill up buckets and watering cans. I want to get a hose and nozzle. HOLY COW I had no idea there were so many different kinds of similar, yet different, large diameter threads! Fire hose has one kind, trash pumps have a similar yet different one, NPT vs. NH vs. NST vs. NPSH vs. NPSM, etc., etc. I need to grap my calipers from work to get an accurate measurement of the valve on the tank.

oh yea there are tons of tread types even on fire hose there are two big ones and they are just enough of a diff that the will leak sometimes u can get them to go on to each other but not all the way and will like like crazy

  16. Today I got my radiator fan working. It turned out to be a fuse. After that, I started looking for why the horn didn't work. I found another fuse slot that didn't have a fuse in it. So I plugged one in there, and the horn started working. So did the turn signals, and hazard flashers. But, now, as long as the fuse is in place, the brake lights stay on. I've got some more looking to do.

Not today but on Monday I sold my Carry. My new deck van should be here sometime Sunday.

    deckvan ..nice :)

completelawncare..check your brake light switch on the pedal..it's prob. why someone unplugged the fuse

  19. That is exactly what the problem is. There is a small plastic piece missing on the brake pedal arm. That piece would push the brake light switch to turn the lights off. I'm working on finding a replacement.

Yep, I'll shoot some later today.

I restored the grey plastic bezels around the headlight yesterday too.

Got the day off today. Going to wax it and look for some RX-7 wheels.

Here's the bezels. A little heat from a torch brings the original color right back.

Pioneer radio from Best Buy, it's on sale this week for $55. Went right in with all the stock brackets like it was meant to be. Didn't bother with pics. Used a Toyota wiring adaptor.

6.5" Pioneer speakers from Best Buy on sale for $35ish this week. There was a spot in the steel for a 4" speaker from the factory & a perforated spot on the back of the door panel where they should go. Pretty straight forward job with minor tin ship action.

All waxed up. Tough to see the shine in the garage but it's there.

Next - RX-7 wheels & a couple company decals for the sides

I don't think the deck van looks as good as my Carry did but it functions for the family a whole lot better. Before this we only had 1 vehicle that could haul all 4 of us around.
