I just installed these ITP SS212 Black rims , 12 x 7, 4 x 110 bolt pattern, They are available from a few sources. The Tires are Carlisle All Trail 23x8-12. They fit wonderfully on my 1990 Suzuki Carry with a little front lower fender modification, They look really good and appear to be of good quality. I just reused the original lugs as they are tucked in and really don't stick out.
Ok a few more shots. Truck has 2" lift. Had to bend up the front lower inner fender (last photo)so the front outer edge of the tire would not rub, once done I have not had any issue with it since. I plan on getting it trimmed and sealed properly here soon, now that I know it wont rub.
Thanks, i wanted all black, but as you know there is not a ton of options for us as far as rims are concerned. The wheel sticks out a little, and I do get some throw up of mud on the doors, but I guess you could throw on some upper wheel moldings to help, but when you make harder turns it is still gonna get on the sides no matter what. So far I am happy with them, I have driven some off road and some asphalt, theydrive well on asphalt and I have been up to about 50MPH on them without any issues. Off road they do well, at least here in the desert terrain. I have not really had them in mud mud yet, just some small puddles. Some people have commented on rocks sticking in them, I notice some rocks, but not anything mare than I get on my street vehicles coming off of a dirt road.
Back when I lived in Globe, Az I owned a Polaris 500 ATV and ran that same tire on it all the way around. Did a lot of riding in the mountains and a lot in the desert areas southeast of Phoenix. I had it licensed for on road use also so did some riding on pavement. I felt that particular tire was just about the best for all around use and have no complaint about their performance under differing conditions. Fred
Hi All, I've fitted a set of 155 80 13 Malatesta Trac mud terrains onto new 13" rims (36mm offset) onto my 96 Carry with no lift. The inner front fender will need adjusting as above to be 100% rub free. Fully road legal, full load rated and mud capable. Massive improvement in ride over the standard wheels and tyres, if a bit noisy on the road. Cheers Des
1991 suzuki carry. 165/55r14 tires. early 80s datsun 200sx wheels 14x5.5 4x114.3 I forget the offset something like +25
And no rub issues? Any lift? Those are some big tires for the space but if they work, may have to look into them,
