Recently picked a semi project 93 Suzuki Carry. Finding many threads here very helpful but unfortunately just blew up the engine.

The truck had been sitting awhile so I rebuilt the carb, replaced the vacuum lines, new filters, fuel lines, fresh oil, plugs, wires, cap, flushed the fuel tank. Was starting to feel good about things, tried to start it, it was turning over but not doing much, pumped the gas a few times and boom. Blew a hole in the block. Pulled the oil pan and a rod came with it.. could see the cylinder sideways up above.

Feeling broken now.. new brake kit, bearings, and CV rebuild kits just delivered this morning. Not sure where to go now.

I’d say it depends on how good of shape the body, interior, and running gear are in.

Ive always thought it would be fun to build a two wheel drive with one of the flat six, shaft drive motor cycle engines in it.
