Tomcar

    I have just reviewed some information on the Tomcar, an ATV based on an Israeli design. It looks to be similar to the Rhino, Ranger, Mule, etc., but what caught my eye was the claim that it comes from the factory street legal in all states. I don't know exactly what that means once you get to the fine print, but in one article it was stated that the Tomcar could be licensed in Arizona (where it is assembled) as a motorcycle. It is speed limited to 25 mph but someone wrote that the limiter could be removed in ten minutes and then it could go 40-45 mph.

    A few auto dealers sell the Tomcar on their lots here in Phoenix.

    These sources say Auburn Hills, MI is where the assembly plant will be...:confused:

    And it specifically identifies the Tomcar as OFF ROAD...:rolleyes:

    http://www.tomcar.com/ is the website.. I have not seen any here on, or offroad here in phx, but I have seen ads in the newspaper at the reg Ford and Chevy dealerships.

    Website doesn't say anything about being aval in 4WD. Anyone have any info?

    On their site it only shows that you can get them in rear wheel drive.
