First, just want to shout out everyone posting here with their progress and thoughts. It's already been an invaluable resource as a newer owner.

I recently imported a 2000 Every Joypop Turbo (DA52W). I've done a few things already, which went smoothly (more or less). I'm trying to do the timing belt, tensioner, and water pump replacement, but am finding this set up quite a bit more difficult/different than what I'm seeing for other models.

I've been trying to mix using the service manual (https://www.scribd.com/document/404207267/60532572-F6A-Service-Manual-pdf) with videos, but it's not quite lining up. I guess I wasn't expecting so much difference between the T/V and W models.

There was a splash guard underneath the engine area, which I've taken off, but it still seems like it's not really serviceable without a lift/getting it much higher up. I'm curious if I'm missing something obvious. Appreciate any help or suggestions.

Is the engine up front under the seats? That doesn't look at all like the layout for a DE51V van like I have. Maybe because its 4WD is my guess?

Yeah, engine is under the passenger seat. It's a 2WD... Everything I need to get to is pretty much dead center a foot or two behind the front wheel wells.

That sucks. I love my van cause I can pull the back cover and get to the whole top of t he engine and crawl under to get to the rest because its in the rear of the van.

Seems like a dream to have such easy access to things. I love everything about this van except the location of these particular parts.

    Small update:

I've gotten the alternator and AC belts off, but have hit another wall getting the crank pulley bolt off. Tried impact wrench and bump starting right now and still having no joy. Can't wait to be done with this and get to drive again.

    Big update:

It's all done! Took way longer than planned, but everything is on, adjusted, and running well. I'll add more details later for folks with this chassis later.

Great to hear. Love to see a thread on the newer 10th gen models because they seem to be a completely redesigned model from the 9th gens.
