Suzuki carry DB51T 1990 my carry was running good after I replaced the carb with one from G&R. After driving it for a few weeks after the new carb I started having an issue of a stutter around 60kmh. I started with replacing the fuel filter and checking if the not only the gas’s was good but if the fuel pump was pumping fuel. After checked those I checked spark plugs and noticed a little oil in the spark plug tube. Decided to replace the valve cover gasket. after changing the gasket I’m still having the issue of sputter around 60 kmh. When it sputters I will be holding the throttle and all of the sudden the truck acts like it’s not getting fuel. any ideas on what it could be or what else I can check? thanks in advance.
Sounds like the carb got gunked up after running for a bit. Did you replace all the fuel lines? As they age they disintegrate internally and rubber bits may be clogging up the carb.
I changed a few but that doesn’t mean the ones I didn’t change aren’t disintegrating. I’ll look into it. Thanks for the suggestion
Solved: i purchased a new carb from G&R and either from them or after I installed the carb it got something stuck in the carb and was limiting the fuel flow at that certain speed. The carb wanted more fuel to go higher speeds but was blocked off.
