Thought I would share a video that we just finished editing - this is the first version. I apologize for the lack of audio...YouTube will not allow the music on the audio track from our first run so there will be a follow-up vid once we complete the editing/rendering. It is available in HD (shot with 3 HD cams). If you would like to see the HD version, click on the HD icon at the bottom right of the video window.

This vid is of one of our recent builds in action up in rural northern, WI.

    Enjoy! :D

Cool! Post up some more video when you get a BIG snow storm so we can see how it handles 24" or more :D

I like the idea of tracks but they wouldn't be practical for driving around town :p

The video is a little deceptive on the snow depths - they ranged from 12" - 36" off trails depending on the location we were shooting. In the open field area, it got much deeper the further you walked out, especially with drifting. With the flotation the tracks provide, you're not seeing the truck sinking-in as much as a wheeled vehicle would've (which is the whole point along with increased traction).

Wow, you've gotten substantially more snow than we have up here then. All the big snowstorms seem to have bypassed Duluth these last few years :(

Thanks. Max speed on track system is about 35mph flat out with the gear reduction. It's designed more for climbing and lower speed operations.

Yea...the Rhinelander area has felt the effect of northern lake effect after getting a good dumping from the last major storm that hooked through. In SE Wisconsin, we're expecting a major dumper tomorrow with lake effect enhancement. FINALLY some weather to test out the blower truck! :D

Thanks! The short wheelbase Carry's are quite interesting. Would make an excellent candidate for tracks AND a plow with the tracks not interfering with the blade position out front (just like the 90's models). The long wheelbase version is excellent for tracks when considering having your tracks in an optimal position for entering deep snow or significant grade changes.
