So my 1992 suzuki carry warms up fine although alittle slow when stopped, but when driving the engine temp goes all the way cold. Thermostat maybe?

Maybe! Their not that expensive to replace! If you want, you could pull it out, and put it in a pot of water on the stove, and as the water heats up you'll see if it's working! Or just place it in a pot of hot water, and you'll notice the change in it from the air temp to the hot water. Same test, just a faster way!Remember, Coolant fluid is toxic, so be care full, not to use your favorite kitchen ware!

Classic symptoms of a stuck open thermostat or removed by some fool who thinks it is an improvement to discard it. Depending on the ambient air and what mix is in the cooling system, you might even freeze up.
