Does any one know how to unlock the tuning of the radio so I can tune local Canadian stations? I have a 1999 EFI Suzuki
I'm not sure I'd say it can be done but most just buy a small new radio for am and fm. Wire it up mount it and call it good. Not worth opening up an aged radio to mess with it and the chance mucking it up. There should be some good radio threads on here if u search real fast most have just replaced the stocker thou. Sorry I can't answer your question.
Actually the Am radio in Japan is differant than ours. A person needs to buy new radio-- it's what I read anyway.

japan is 9khz tuning and US/Canada is 10khz tuning and FM stations are totally different.. It's close enough to work, but the stations will always come in weaker then they should with the digital tuner. Analog tuners will work fine
