Hi guy's, when I step on the gas just slightly the supercharger light comes on and I loos all power. Supercharger should only come on if I step on it hard? Anyway, can anyone let me know what might be the problem and how to correct? Thanks
Yes, the supercharger should only come on when you're stepping on it hard (or if the engine has to start working harder, like going up a hill). Based on my own experiences, I'd say you've got a vacuum system problem (my MAP sensor died and had a similar issue). Code 23 is what I read from mine. I've attached a diagnostic check procedure that will pull any "codes" that might be stored in the ECU. This website also has the same diagnostics (not sambar specific) with more codes listed. You'll want the code section for "1988 and later with multi-point fuel injection".
