Hello all ! I have a 1990 db41t that was running when I bought it, although it needed a clutch. I changed the clutch and upon test drive I notice the more you hit the brake pedal the front calipers bit down but won’t release right away. Both sides are doing it although the rh side seems to be suffering more (driver weight ?). I thought maybe try bleeding the brakes and before I started I noticed it takes several brake pedal depressions before the front tires started braking (jacked up, tires off ground). My gut says brake hoses since I’ve seen them collapse internally and cause a “check valve” lock that bleeds off. What’s your thoughts?
I thought I had my signature bearing the full vehicle info but was wrong so 1990 Suzuki carry Db41t 550 engine with rhino 660 carb and electric ignition 4wd 4 speed diff lock axle lock
I would first try a full flush and bleed of the brakes. While the lines are empty you could pull the rubber brake lines and see how bad they are. You use the lines from a 1996 Suzuki Swift. They should fit and are a bit longer so if you get a lift they may work for you too. Rockauto has them cheap.
