    Hey all,
Doing the finishing touches on my lift kit.
I was trying to set the alignment today and I can't get the **** tie rods to adjust. I tried everything to get the adjustment nut to loosen but it won't budge. Anyone else ran into this problem ?? How did you get it to adjust ?:frustration:

The truck looks awesome 3 inch lift in the back and a 4 1/2 inch lift in the front. I have had to do alot more modifications than I had first hoped to do but im really happy with the way its turning out.

WD-40 and then some more WD-40. I soak mine for 2 or 3 days prior to installing a lift kit. Just soak them up a few times a day. Then I get a pipe wrench on the tie rod itself and give it a turn. This will break the nut away from the tie rod end on one end of the rod. More WD-40, then work the nut back and forth until you get it backed up alittle ways. Then, get the pipe wrench again and back the rod out of the other end. Lots easier than rounding off those nuts.

You have probably already considered this, but one of the nuts is left hand and one is right hand. I know that I get confused lying on my back looking up and trying to figure out which way to turn each nut!

The jam nuts on my tie rods were frozen up too. I'd suggest taking a drop light to examine the exposed threads on the rods to make sure you're backing them off and not tightening them up.

I'll +1 on the WD 40, or a similar penetrating oil. I soaked up the jam nuts with WD and they loosened up with a good bit muscle behind them.
