On my 1992 Mitsubishi MiniCab, can anyone tell me the proper procedure for shifting into, and out of 4 wheel drive? Can you do it on the fly, or should the vehicle be stationary?
I have a shop manual, but not a users manual to enlighten me.

    Thanks. - Art R.

Art, on my Hijet I will shift in and out of the differential locks, in first gear while costing. Doesn’t seem to have caused any issues thus far.

There is no way, I’d go in and out of low range at anything at anything besides a full stop.
