i would check with the supporting sponsors with the banners at the top of the page... most of them carry (or can get) what you need.

I got the shift cable from West Shore Auto.Wrong thing to do.It was not new and was not even in good shape. There was no bushing in it and was cut on the outside.I bought it for a new one and made a big mistake.I will be buying from the USA from now on.I did email Todd but got no responce and dont think I will.I am sorry Mike I will be getting things from you or one of the other guys on here from the USA.

I did hear from Todd.He said his guy put the bushing in the box. They are tight in the cable and wont come out.He said he did not tell me it was new,I ask if he had a new one and he said yes.He offered to give me my money back if I sent the cable back prepaid.I would throught it away before I deal with him again. He said I should not bash him on here, but I hope the save someone from getting the deal I got.If I should not do this then I guess someone can take it off.

I agree with Todd. You should see about a resolution with the company before posting derogatory remarks on an open forum.

He offered your money back yes? What else is he to do? That is the appropriate response from a business.

There was obviously some mis-communication on both sides. I cant see Todd intentionally sending you a used cable if you specified new. What good would that serve? Its not like he is going to go out of his way to send you something you dont want. Mistakes do happen and will continue to happen until the end of time.

West Shore Auto has been a gold sponsor of this site since pretty much day 1. He has done many, many transactions all across North America. I havent seen/heard any other complaints here.

I am not saying you dont have a valid complaint, all I am saying is you should have talked to Todd before posting. (You even stated you emailed him but hadnt heard back yet in your first complaint.)

I deal with Todd on a regular basis and vice versa. My results with my transactions with him have been satisfactory every time, and I hope he feels the same about transactions with me.

    Just my 2 cents.

All I did was post what happened. If I stepped on anyones toes I am sorry.I am just saying I will deal with the people in the USA from now on.It may have been a mistake and if so I am sorry.I dont see how it could be, new or used.Todd may be the greatest guy to deal with.I am sure that me not buying from him won't hurt him.I just got one containter of trucks.

    Todd,

Sorry that you took this comment as a SLAM, but I was refering to how we have several customers go other places for products that are cheaper only to run into problems...which this guy clearly is. They tend to end up calling us for parts anyway. I did not mean that you are doing shaddy business I know that you are not. I also know that you have sent me some customers I too have sent several people to you. If an apolgy is what you are looking for then I am sorry....I hope that helps you out.

let it go JCLEE.. this thread will die eventually.

i ran a speed shop for 5 years... $hit happens from time to time. one of my guys built a motor with no cam... just a small over sight, huh?

i built a motor with 10 over bearings on a standard crank... it only knocked a little bit :D

recently i had a shop re gear my jeep and put a locker up front.... they forgot to order the locker so i didn't get one. they promised they would put it in in 2 more weeks and they did.

i never flamed them on the jeep forum for screwing up... i just let them make things right. they also did both diff oil changes and hooked me up with royal purple for the inconvenience of it all.

there may have been a little miscomunication between you both.

but if you keep bringing it up and trying to stand on your soap box and defend yourself this thread will never die and you will never live it down... JMHO

My shift cable just broke. The one controlling 1,2,3,4,5 gears - how hard are these to replace? I am pretty mechanically inclined. I will consult one of the vendors above.
