Hi on about purchasing a sambar but it won’t move it’s an auto it selects gears but in drive you have to rev it high as ifs it’s being held back a snail moves faster any ideas anyone
There are two things that could be the problem: The easier to replace and more likely candidate would be the powder clutch and brushes. The powder clutch is a wear item and 25+ years is a lot to ask of them. They are somewhat spendy though, about $600 for both from a reputable vendor like Amayama or JapanParts. If you share more information about your Sambar, I can get you the appropriate part numbers for you. The second, less likely, and more problematic option would be the eCVT Belt itself slipping. There is a belt for I think a Nissan that has been reported to work, but it does require a full disassembly of the transmission to get to it.
