Since most mini trucks don't have titles and cannot be licensed, is sales tax normally charged when a truck is purchased?

Here in Calif they are registered as an off road vehicle in order to drive it on off road vehicle areas or even haul or tow it on the road. Sales tax is paid then a sticker license is issued every two or so years. The sticker is cheap...the sales tax isn't.

In Mississippi you pay normal sales tax on them. You do not pay less like on a vehicle or tractor.

Titan is right . i think mine slipped through since i got it from a major tractor dealer. i did have to pay an extra $35 to have the title rushed through. just another way for our state to make a bit more money for doing it's job. you only save a few % . we have a flat 7 % sales tax & 4 or 5 % on cars. you ether pay it when you make the purchase or when you get your tag.
