Hi team. Quick question. Installing LED conversion headlights. Looking to pull power from the turn signal to drive the integrated turn signal. There are three prongs to the turn signals. Wiring to the prongs is one white, one green, and one green/yellow. which one of these would be appropriate to pull power from?

    Thanks

it depends on what you’re trying to achieve. Are you trying to run blinkers or marker lights? This is where a power probe comes in handy. If you’re trying to use the integrated blinker on the headlight, switch the blinker on and figure out which wire is giving you a blinking light. I have a s200v, so mine aren’t the round glass bulbs. I was able to replace my headlight bulbs with LED replacements

Looking to run the integrated blinker in the LED Headlight unit. It needed the original blinker power. Didn't have a tester so hoping the colors were indicative, but will go ahead and get one to see where I need to pull from.

Will also need to pull new power for the daytime running light function. Waiting on a fuse tap to get that going.

I believe a test light is only about $20 at the parts store. They aren’t great for big wiring jobs, but for simple stuff, it’s perfect. If you’ve ever had to deal with a wiring issue on your pull-behind trailer, they’re a lifesaver.

Also of note, I have a stick and an automatic that were manufactured during the same year. They both have the same wire harness installed, but the wire colors aren’t all the same

Ya I do have the adaptors above. They only drive the hi/lo headlight portion. The LED headlights I want to use also have daytime running lights and integrated turn signals. This requires the additional tapping into the turn signal wiring to drive that, and running a tap off an accessory power source (I am using a fusible tap into the fuse box accessory open slot)

FYI Using the volt meter the green solid wiring on the turn signal is carrying the 12v signal on the 92 Hijet.

My 1992 S83P is wired like the older Toyotas and Nissans - switching to ground - and I think the only way to correct the voltage ( +/_ ) is to use a relay.
I think that I have the same headlights as yours, and I had to use a relay to get them to work, but I could not get the signals to work without additional relays - that is as far as I got because I did not a whole bunch more wiring to cause problems.
Please let me know if you figure out how to do it without relays, cause it would be neat to have the orange indicators.

    Cheers

I was able to get this to work with no issues, without relays. Just ran one wire from teh orignianl signal power to the new headlight turn signal power in line. Headlights I have are the below (Pic1). I just spliced into the power going to the original signal (pic 2, this pic showing me testing with a temporary run of blue wire before splicing it, but it's the wire that runs into this terminal (mine was green/yellow) and ran that into the green turn signal power in line on the new headlights harness (Pic 3, again just a temporary piece of wire to make sure it worked before soldering actual connections).

Yes, my lights are a bit different than yours, but similar setup. I followed your lead, and mine are now working as well.

    Thanks
