I have a !991 version of the S80/S81 shop manual on cd that is from the factory. It's a big one and my computer doesn't have enough horsepower to run it so my wife took it to a copy place and they printed it out for me for $50 so I no longer need the cd.I talked to Leon at Daihatsu help and he said the only difference in the early and later S80/81's is the distributor cap. I paid $15 for this and will sell it for that and you pay postage. Pm me if you want it. It would be nice if some techy guy could get this and make copies for other people so we wouldn't have to pay $300-$400 for a $15 dollar manual. This is the English version!!
Good fine Jim. How did you come across it? I bought a S80 from Ft Mason in San Fran. a number of yrs. ago and it had a complete oem parts / service book in it for the 80 & 81. The truck had been sitting in a warehouse on the docks for yrs. Its was a cream puff with very little miles. After servicing it and buying a 400.00 electric fuel valve(the one that has one wire) that screws into the side off carb. it ran great. It found a home at a Youth Camp about five yrs. ago and engine and trans. still work. As for the body the camp folks have pretty much took care of it, NOT. The body looks like hell the last time I saw it. Nothing last when you have a doz. of 16 to 18 yr. olds driving it.
One of the forum members contacted me shortly after I bought my S80 and offered me this cd and I jumped on it.Later I bought a load of Suzuki parts and got a bunch of parts manuals in Japanese with it .If you watch you can stumble on deals.
Bummer, really looking for that manual. Was it sold to a member of this forum by any chance? Maybe I could sweet talk him into selling it.
No luck, tried to start a conversation with sickboy 774, guess he is off the radar. Would you happen to have the wiring diagram for the s80? Don't want to be a pain it's just I've been searching for awhile and have come up empty handed. Thanks for any info you might have.
Hello There! Im in Sydney and desperately in need of a workshop manual for my S80P. Any pointers please? My truck is down and I desperately need to sell some lemonade!
Magic Valley Mini Trucks in Jerome, Idaho. They deal with older S models. Google the phone number, should be able to help u.
If for some reason they can't or wont help you i do have a parts book and service manual that you can borrow. Service manual is about 2" thick. It's covers everything.
Wow Trax thank you so much. I'm going to follow up on your lead and if I don't get any joy I might bother you at some stage soon. All best
