Ok, here we go. I have replaced both solenoids to fix previous running issue. Cap & rotor, plugs, and wires previously done when solenoids were replaced. Was running good after all of this. Then one morning, it felt weak backing up driveway, but seemed to be fine the rest of the day. Next day, can't even get up driveway. pulled carb, solenoids good. disassembled, ultrasonic cleaner, new Honda carb gasket kit. Reinstalled everything, starts perfect cold, as warms up wants to die, step on gas and it dies. Have to feather throttle to get going. I saw a post that someone disconnected a hose from top of carb and it fixed it. I haven't tried yet, no time, but was wandering what the part was. Circled in red. What is its function?

So I posted this response on another thread but, your issue sounds a lot like the one I had:

"I had a similar problem with my 94 Honda Acty, except it was an electrical issue for me. Took me a long time to figure out that when it happened to me the blower motor would also cut out but everything else (radio and headlights/running lights) would all still be working, turns out that my ignition key cylinder thing doesn't spring back exactly perfect when I start the truck and I need to put a little pressure on the key as if im turning it off and boom everything starts working, blower motor comes back to life and I get all my power back from the engine."

Basically as far as I understand it there is a computer under the dash that controls the choke and if it doesn't think the vehicle is running (Off) or thinks it just started it will engage the choke on full, which is why the engine dies when you give it throttle.

Let me know if this helps, I might be able to record a video of my truck doing it. It still does it to this day and is very easy to replicate.

I had that similar issue when I first got my ACTY. No blower, no power, wiggle ignition key and the blower would come back on and engine power was restored. After a while it never happened again, but I also only run with just the ignition key.

Somebody else here unplugged the vacuum hose to the round piece circled and it cured their problem. I am curious if anyone knows what it is and what its function is.

Unless someone comes up with an actual answer this is the best I got.
