    Hi All,

I decided to put new brakes on my U42T, but I'm having trouble removing the hub. I want to make sure I'm not missing something important before I keep hitting it with a bigger hammer. It's not seized to the rotor behind it, and yes, I removed the axle nut and washer. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Damn, this is why I've also been hesitant to replace my front rotors. They are pretty warped but I'm worried about trying to get everything pulled apart.

Try soaking the area with some PB blaster? maybe some heat ? block of wood and bigger hammer?

Well, what worked was going to Harbor Freight and buying a slide puller. Had both of them off in under 3 minutes. No PB blaster needed.

I did have to rebuild the calipers. Right one was completely seized

I have been fighting this battle for the past day and I’m on my way to Harbor freight right now for the same tool. Thank you so much for this insight.

    How did it turn out?

ehh… I ended up having to take the entire knuckle and assembly off to a machine shop and have them press out the bearings in order to access the rotor. When they popped the hubs off the knuckle it damaged the bearings and need to be replaced along with the dust cover and seals, etc. all in all it will be around $165 in extra seals and bearings in to properly replace the rotors.
