It's actually gotten a lot less expensive in the past few years ..the Chinese are giving the Japanese a run for their money. I dabbled in importing RC vehicles(nitro trucks,planes,boats) from China a few years back and had no real problems with any of them..The only issue seemed to be the age old hobby shop caste system when you need a part..which seems to be whatever you have(unless it's the top of the line that the shop sells) is crap..The self imposed elitism in most hobby shops is disgusting and drives newcomers away. i got my charger and the power supply from hobby king for $40 shipped. I just got 4 360 degree robotic servos off ebay from china for $67 shipped to. here the guy wanted 110 each
