A huge loss. I just read an article in the premiere issue of 0-60 magazine about Colin McRae in which he was teasing the journalist and photographer about "aerobatics" before flying them to Knockhill to check out the McRae Motorsport R4 prototype rally car. They had reservations about flying with Colin "McCrash" as he was known. It's even more sad that his only son was with him.
Yeah, I read that last night and forwarded it to all my "rally buddies". I've been actively following the WRC for about 10 years or so and he always figured heavily in the action in the late 90's. R.I.P. I'll take a hot lap or two around lower field in the Farm-Truc rally hoon-wagon in his honor.
