Looking to do an r134 conversion on my acty truck. Is there anything from a Civic, etc from around those years that will cross over? Condenser, evaporator, etc?
Not sure if you have something to change. I changed from R12 to R134a on my 11/1988 BMW E32 750 in 2006 with such a change kit and it works since then without a problem http://www.bimmerboard.com/forums/posts/77998 https://www.meeknet.co.uk/E38/AC/Index.htm What I did in addition was to change the old dryer, as the low/high pressure valve was anyway leaking and I lost all R12. Then I use a vacuum pump for a lomger time and tested the system for leaks, all fine, then filled the R134a. Every 3/4 years I have to add a small can of R134a to keep the fill level, but it works fine and cools good.
When I did my conversion several years ago, I used a drier from an '88 Civic, it was about $7 on RockAuto. It's a straight swap and the only thing I replaced, other the the High/low side port adapters.
