    Hi guys.
I have a 88 Honda acty in very good condition but I need more power!

What would be the best and easiest engine to put in it? I was thinking a bike engine. But would it be best to put a bigger car engine in?? I have a basic mechanic skills.

This is my first project so all ideas and help would be appreciated!

I think you would be better off finding a new toy to hot rod. The Honda would probably be one of the harder trucks to modify. Maybe you can put a turbo or supercharger on it to satisfy your need for speed.

Hi. Iam not after huge amounts of power. Maybe Tweeks in the original engine would be enough...
Just would be nice to be able to do some drifting in it...haha

You won't be able to drift in it since the Honda's have AWD that kicks the front tires in when the rears begin to slip. Unless you have a boatload of mechanical skills you're not going to be able to make any of the traditional power adders like s/c or turbo work for any mini truck, but especially a Honda. There are a couple sweet engine swap threads though and even a Suzuki custom garage built supercharger thread... but they're well beyond the "average Joe" skill level of fabrication.

Oh well that ruined that idea then haha cheers for your info.

The idea came from YouTube I've seen some pick ups drifting and lots of different mods. And it just do happens my dad has a old honda acty which needs some engine work.

So I thought I'd whip a engine in it and have some fun....

The trucks you see drifting on youtube have been modded to within an inch of their lives... you could still have fun with it though, they're awesome offroad!
