Mine's been great, aside from the valve cover leaking like a sieve. I have to thrash it pretty hard to keep up with traffic, but like I said, it'll cruise all day at 100-110 kph. The rear engine trucks are eerily silent in motion, too... at higher speeds, the wind noise from the mirrors, front fascia, etc. drown out the engine noise. Colin
Its a single seater Daihatsu, but I forget the name. It's a Kei class truck though. We did some bodywork on one a couple years ago.
truck mine's green . looking for a 5 speed OD for it . it's 2 wheel drive with a 660 ef daihatsu motor 1996 .
They are listed at auction Mizeet and MizeetII, but in English they are Midget and Midget 2. The one-seater with some cargo space in the back.
Ive had 5 of them, sold 2. They are made by Diahatsu and are called Midjet. I dont know why but 1996s are most common. hey are only 2wd. Auto and 4 speeds. AC. Dont need power steering at all. 10" wheels. My salesman uses one as a daily driver and loves it. He only drives to work, home for lunch, out to the country to feed his horses, and back to town. You should see the other drivers looks on their faces when he hauls his dog. they actually have alot of room in them. 63mph wide open!
Not really pimped, but hey. My S85 Daihatsu Hijet. Things changed: Daihatsu Cuore/Move Mag Wheels, Momo Corse Steeringwheel, Honda CRX sporty seats. Cheers, Daniel
Here's a real pimped out machine. THis link may not last long though. http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m49757143 Yes, its selling for 1.5million yen (about 13,000USD).
Unfortunately the feds - last I heard anyway - will not allow a full van to be imported into the U.S. Even if they did, my budget will not allow another vehicle purchase at this time. Therefore, I simply get to wish for one. I do appreciate the offer to get me one though.
I just picked up a Daihatsu S83V 4wd Van at auction. Perfect for the skibum and street legal here in Canada. Also an S83C 4wd Hijet cubevan.
I drove it home last nite and used it for chasing parts today. I was really impressed with how well it ran. Discovered it is a 20 valve 4 cyl! 9000 rpm redline, I did turn it 8000.
Zebra according to the wife. She cut and applied every stripe on it. Inspired by Ted Nugents zebra striped Bronco.
